On Wednesday, a judge acquitted former Texas County Sheriff James Sigman and Chief Deputy Jennifer Tomaszewski but did not dismiss all the charges.
Judge John Beger stated that there was insufficient evidence.
Sigman is still on trial for a felony forgery charge, and Tomaszewski will have to answer for charges of endangering a child and a felony forgery charge.
The other two charges of impersonating an officer and robbery are being considered for an acquittal, but that decision will be made at a later date.
