On Sunday, September 26, 2021, at almost 9:00 AM, West Plains Officers responded to the 800 Block of Missouri Ave for a court order violation.
The petitioner in a restraining order wanted Officers to check her residence because the respondent’s vehicle was outside of it. Officers entered the home and located the respondent in one of the backrooms.
The investigation of the incident determined that the respondent had damaged an exterior door to enter the resident. The respondent also told Officers that he had been in the residence since 10:00 PM the previous night and knew he was not supposed to be there.
The respondent of the restraining order was released to Ozark Healthcare for a mental evaluation. Charges were forwarded to the Howell County Prosecutors Office for Burglary 2nd Degree and for violation of a court order.
