The Mammoth Spring Police Department is reporting the arrest of a man for theft charges in Howell County.
According to court documents, a be on the lookout was put out by the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office on Monday for a 2003 Gold Chevy Silverado.
Later that evening, Mammoth Spring Police Officer Darian Walters identified a vehicle matching the description at the intersection of Highway 63 and State Highway 9.
Once Officer Walters got the tag number, he confirmed it was setting at the camper park.
Walters then knocked on the door of a home and 58-year-old Gary Collins answered the door.
Collins stated that it was his father’s truck, but Howell County authorities are pressing charges for the theft of a motor vehicle.
Collins bond was set at $1,000.
