On Thursday, members from the Missouri Department of Economic Development, SCOCOG, State Legislators, including Karla Esslinger, Ron Copeland, and a representative for Congressman Jason Smith met with community leaders such as City of Thayer Mayor Kenny Cotham, Thayer EDC, TCBA, and the Chamber of Commerce.
We are told that the main purpose of the meeting is to get a plan for economic development set for the regional area.
We were also told that the industrial park in Thayer was also discussed, including ways to develop that area.
Some of the things the committee is looking at include improvements to the parking area and improving the intersection of Highway 63 and Highway 142.
