From the Izard County School District:
Congrats to the Izard County Cougars Golf Team for winning the 1A State Championship in dominating fashion today at the Golf Course at Turkey Mountain. The Cougars shot a 236, 38 strokes in front of state runner-up West Side. Denton Reiley earned medalist honors with a 71! Landon McBride carded a 78 and Elijah Wilkes 87 for the Cougars as all 3 were named All State. Noah Stevenson and Gaven Stephens also participated for the Cougars. Reiley also qualified for the Overall State Tournament.
