The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the arrest of a woman for possession of a controlled substance.
According to affidavits filed on Tuesday, Sheriff’s Deputy Blair Ables conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Mammoth Spring that was not displaying a license plate.
Deputy Ables identified the driver as 37-year-old Jessica Wuest, who is a parolee with the Arkansas State Parole Board.
During the stop, Deputy Ables noticed Wuest appearing to be nervous and continuously moved around in her driver’s seat.
He then conducted a search of Wuest’s vehicle, due to a waiver already being on file.
During the search, Ables found one plastic baggie containing a white crystalline substance.
Deputy Ables placed Wuest under arrest, and while placing her in cuffs, Wuest stated “there is a pipe in my waste band”, and the Deputy then removed the pipe without incident.
16th Judicial Drug Task Force Agents tested the crystalline substance, which produced a positive result for methamphetamine.
Wuest now faces charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, meth cocaine.
Her bond was set at $1,000.
