The North Arkansas Electric Cooperative is asking customers to be on the lookout for a potential scam regarding solar powering being available to customers.
The advertisement is mainly seen on social media, telling customers that they can receive the solar network for $0 down.
I spoke to NAEC president and CEO Mel Coleman, and he tells me that the advertiser has not been authorized to use the companies name in any advertising and is not affiliated with them in any way.
You should never give personal information away to this type of advertisement unless you have confirmed it through your electric cooperative.
NAEC wants to remind its customers that you should always read the fine print, and if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.
