
The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a man on drug charges.
According to court documents, Sheriff’s Deputy Blair Ables and Arkansas Community Corrections Parole Officer Steve Simers came in contact with 57-year-old Wesley McCleskey while conducting a home visit at a parolee’s residence within the county.
During the visit, officers located an individual who had an active felony warrant inside a shop building.
While placing the wanted suspect under arrest, officers observed McClesky attempting to walk out of the building quickly.
The officers stopped McClesky and observed a cigarette pack inside McClesky’s boot.
Officer Simers removed the pack of cigarettes and found two small plastic baggies, each containing methamphetamine.
McCleskey was then placed under arrest without incident.
Agent Johnny Byler, with the 16th DTF field tested the substance, and it produced a positive test result for methamphetamine. Both baggies weighed less than two grams.
McClesky’s bond was set at $1,000.
