The City of Thayer will host another “Town Hall Meeting” on Tuesday, November 9 at 6pm. The public is invited to come and understand how the City and surrounding area can grow. 

ECNN plans to be at the meeting and will have a full report after.

  2. Council to discuss issues and ideas from the Town Hall Meeting.

Public Participation

  1. Marge Shipp to address the Council about previous mentioned topics.
  2. Brandon Matthews to discuss the property line at his residence.
  3. Russel Jewell to discuss an easement issue at the airport. Vicki Valentine is also needing an answer on the easement.

Old Business

  1. Council to discuss future economic development plans for the City.
  2. Council to discuss the list of items to be put in the paper for bids.
  3. Council to discuss George Cover’s lease at the airport.
  4. Council to discuss the upcoming Holiday schedule.

New Business

  1. Council to discuss the utilities at 623 N 9th
  2. Council to discuss the Elks Lodge obtaining a Sunday liquor license.
  3. Council to review a bid submitted by Harry Cooper for 25 crossarms for the Electric Dept.
  4. Council to review a bid submitted by Harry Cooper for inventory needed at the Electric Dept.
  5. Water Supervisor Zach Ary would like to install propane wall heaters for the buildings at all three well locations.
  6. Wastewater has submitted a list of equipment and supplies needed at the treatment plant.
  7. Council to discuss the current cost of vapor lights.
  8. Council to discuss approving longevity pay for City employees.

 

A portion of the meeting may be in CLOSED SESSION:

The tentative agenda of this meeting may include a vote to close part of the meeting pursuant to section 610.021(1), 610.021(2) and 610.021(3) of the revised Missouri Statutes 1986.
