On November 15, 2021, at approximately 5:55 AM, the West Plains Police Department received a report of a vehicle crash on US Highway 63, north of Lanton Road. Upon arrival, Officers discovered a two-vehicle head-on crash in the Southbound lanes of Highway 63.
Officers determined one driver; a twenty-four-year-old male was deceased at the scene. The second driver, a fifty-three-year-old female, was transported by South Howell County Ambulance to Ozark Healthcare in West Plains where she was pronounced deceased.
As of report time, the crash is still under investigation and next of kin have not been notified. The Crash is being investigated by the West Plains Crash Investigators, and the West Plains Police Department and were assisted by the West Plains Fire Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Howell County Coroner, and MODOT.
