Former Thayer resident given longest prison sentence ever in Boone County, AR

A Thayer man was sentenced to six life terms and 488 years in the Arkansas Prison system after being convicted of raping three boys in Boone County, AR. 

58-year-old Terry Break was sentenced to the longest sentence ever given in the county. 

Break is convicted of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, rape or forcible compulsion, tampering, sexual indecency with a child, 2nd-degree sexual assault, distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving a child, engaging children in sexually explicit conduct for use in visual or print medium, sexually grooming a child, and intimidating a witness.

The entire case began after a report to the Omaha School District, which would lead to an investigation by the Boone County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police.
