A three-vehicle accident in Ripley County sent two people to the hospital on Thursday evening.
Crash reports show that a 2018 GMC Sierra, driven by 50-year-old Carla Stone of Doniphan, was stopped partially in the roadway and was struck in the rear by a 2000 Dodge Ram Van driven by 73-year-old Dennis Feuerstahler of Doniphan, which caused the Sierra to strike a pedestrian. The Dodge Van continued on the roadway and struck a 1993 Toyota Tacoma driven by an unlisted occupant.
The pedestrian, 44-year-old Michael Haywood of Doniphan, was seriously injured by the crash and was transported by Air Evac to Regional One Medical Center in Memphis, TN.
The driver of the van had minor injuries on the scene. He was taken by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
