Silver Dollar City officials confirm that a fire on Thursday evening damaged multiple structures near the downtown area of the amusement park.
The fire spread from Heartland Home Furnishings to Flossie’s Fired Fancies in the lower western portion of the park.
Officials say that the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District responded quickly to the fire.
The flames were discovered at approximately 12:45 pm and was contained within the hour.

The front entrance area of the park had opened, but most of the park had no guest access.
While the exact cause of the fire is still being investigated, Silver Dollar City will be open as scheduled on Friday.
