A crash in Texas County killed a juvenile on Saturday evening.
Crash reports from the Highway Patrol show that a 2012 Ford Festiva driven by a 14-year-old female of Cabool was traveling southbound on Highway 181, two miles south of Cabool, when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned, striking a fence.
A 13-year-old occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead on the scene by the Texas County Chief Deputy.
The vehicle driver, a 14-year-old juvenile had serious injuries after the crash and was transported by aircraft to Cox South in Springfield.
Also, a 13-year-old male occupant was injured in the crash and was transported by ambulance to the Texas County Memorial Hospital for treatment of his minor injuries.
This fatality was Troop G’s 34 fatality compared to 37 this time last year.
