Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose confirmed to ECNN on Thursday evening that a man running from the police with a supposed AK-47 has been taken into custody.
Rose issued a “be on the lookout” on Wednesday evening concerned with an armed person attempting to get back to the Springfield, MO area.
A truck was stolen from the Doniphan area and was located near the Hardy Civic Center, but then a Nissan Frontier was stolen from the same area.
Later the stolen truck and suspect were located in an untold area.
Chiefs Rose tells me that he is in jail today, and officials are trying to identify him.
He didn’t possess a license or ID when the man was arrested.
