On Dec. 10, officials with the Texas County Sheriff’s Office and South Central Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence on Highway C near Licking.
The investigation cited a search warrant and was obtained.
After searching the home, multiple controlled substances were found, including methamphetamine and capsules that officials believed to contain heroin or fentanyl.
57-year-old Sonya Ewing and 58-year-old Michael Peterson, both of Licking, were taken into custody and housed in the Texas County Jail.
Ewing faces two charges for 2nd-degree drug trafficking, and Peterson is charged with two counts of 2nd-degree drug trafficking and unlawful firearm possession.
Both are held in the Texas County Jail, Ewing’s at $750,000 and Peterson at $1,000,000.
