
Former St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Shildt has new employment, after accepting a job in the commissioners office.
Shildt received other offers, including an interview for the Padres manager opening.
He will take a role in the on-filed operations department, and will work under Vice President Michael Hill.
The Cardinals fired Shildt after “philosophical differences” in the program.
