A Willow Springs man died on Friday after officials said high waters swept the man’s pickup truck off the road.
The Highway Patrol says that 71-year-old John Heck was traveling on Highway Y, miles away from Mountain View, when he drove into high water, was swept off the roadway and into a creek.
Crews were assisted by Mountain View and West Plains Water Crews.
