ECNN has confirmed a plane crash near Nine Mile Ridge that occurred around 6 pm on Sunday evening.
Officials with the Fulton and Sharp County Sheriff’s Office say the plane went down on Slick Rock Road, and the plane details are unknown at this time.
Due to nightfall and foggy conditions, crews were unsuccessful in locating the aircraft overnight.
A source close to the situation tells ECNN that a command post has been set up at the Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department to look for the unconfirmed wreckage.
The Arkansas State Police and Federal Aviation Administration are leading the crash investigation.
The current search area is near Nine Mile Ridge Road and Slick Rock Road in Northern Arkansas.
9:15am: ECNN is on the scene in Nine Mile Ridge.
Police have setup a perimeter around a wooded area.
By-standers say that they have seen the aircraft, but that is unconfirmed.
10am: Police are actively working a scene that appears to be a plane, but has not been confirmed by police.
A plane crash on the Fulton/Sharp County line killed two people on Monday.
According to officials, those killed in the crash were pulled from the plane on Monday morning.
The wreckage was found near the Nine Mile Ridge Fire Department, on Nine Mile Ridge Road, two miles west of Hardy.
Names, ages, and gender have not been released due to an ongoing investigation.
The investigation is being led by the Federal Aviation Administration and the NTSB.

The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office confirmed on Monday afternoon that two people died in the plane crash on Nine Mile Ridge Road, two miles west of Hardy.
According to officials, the names of the two individuals have been released.
57 year old Bradley Dunham of Bono and 52 year old Christine Price of Walnut Ridge were both killed in the crash.
Search teams found the plane crash after daybreak on Monday morning.
ECNN is told that the FAA and NTSB were expected on scene on Tuesday.
The crash is still under investigation, but conditions were foggy at the time of the crash.
