One killed in Howell County crash Monday evening

A three-vehicle crash in Howell County killed one and sent one to the hospital on Monday evening. 

According to crash reports, a 2002 Ford Expedition, driven by 26-year-old Bailey Pine of West Plains, traveled northbound on Highway 63 – one mile south of West Plains, when the expedition was struck in the back by a 2013 Kia Optima driven by 70-year-old John Eye of Mineral Point, MO. After being struck, the Expedition then traveled across the center of the roadway and struck a 2001 Nissan Frontier, driven by 77-year-old Michael Wall of Koshkonong. 

Michael Wall was injured in the crash and was taken by Air Evac to Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, while the driver of the expedition, Bailey Pine, was killed in the crash. 

This is Troop G’s 36 fatality compared to 40 at this time last year.
