IZARD COUNTY, AR (ECNN) – Izard County authorities arrested a man for stealing a meat smoker and he faces many other charges.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed within the county, Investigators Tyler Webb and Sean Tomlinson were provided with video footage of a suspect and a vehicle involved with a theft that occurred at a local business, where an electric LEM brand meat smoker was taken from the victim’s property.

Investigators were able to identify the vehicle to strongly resemble a vehicle that is currently registered to 49-year-old Adam Pinkston of Melbourne, AR.

Although no license plate number was revealed, the make, model, year, and color were the same as Pinkston’s.

While investigators continued, it was realized that the suspect and suspect vehicle also matched footage of a previous theft case of a business in Calico Rock, AR.

Investigators obtained a search warrant for the residence of Pinkston that was located on Jay St. in Melbourne.

On Jan. 14, the warrant was served.

Arriving at the residence, officials immediately noticed in plain sight a black LEM smoker that was identified to be the stolen smoker.

Pinkston stated that he had receipts for all items at his property.

He then said he did not have a receipt for the smoker but removed the item from the trash.

Investigator Tyler Webb continued to search the property and located multiple items from the case mentioned in Calico Rock, AR.

Also, in the search, there was a small plastic bag containing a white crystalline substance and several used glass-type smoking devices containing a burnt crystalline substance.

49-year-old Pinkston is charged with felony maintaining a drug premise, felony commercial burglary, theft of property priced at more than $5,000, two counts for felony criminal trespass, two charges for felony possession of drug paraphernalia – meth/cocaine, and four misdemeanor charges for theft by receiving less than or equal to $1,000.

His bond was set at $40,000.
