From Howell County Sheriff Brent Campbell:

It is with deep regret and sorrow to announce the loss of a member of
the Howell County Sheriff’s Office family.

On January 20, 2022 at approximately 2245 hrs, Corporal Michael C.
Wall succumbed to complications stemming from injuries that he
sustained in an off duty motor vehicle collision, which occurred on
December 27, 2021.

Corporal Wall began his career with the Howell County Sheriff’s Office
on March 7, 1997 and has provided a faithful and honorable service to
this beloved county for a period of 24 years and 10 months.

During Corporal Wall’s professional career, he has served in various duty
positions such as: Corrections Officer in the Adult Detention Center,
Transport Officer, and lastly a Court Security Officer most notably
serving as a bailiff for the past 18 years in the Howell County Courthouse
under the Judicial Division of the Sheriff’s Office.

Corporal Wall was well respected by his seniors, peers and subordinates.

He was always eager to assist in developing systems and the means to maintain security throughout the courthouse.

He was an asset to our community and will be missed by those that knew him.

Corporal Wall is survived by his wife, daughter, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. I ask our community to keep the family and friends in their prayers and thoughts throughout this time of
healing.

The memorial service for Corporal Michael C. Wall will be announced at a later date.
