
The annual E-Communications Hunger Hero Caring about Neighbors Campaign has been completed for 2021.
Mammoth Spring School is the winner of the 2021 trophy.
The Bears finished the campaign with 4,729 total items, and it’s leading classroom was Mrs. Janet Smoots Preschool class, collecting 700 total items.
The Thayer R-II finished with a total of 2,291 items collected, and Pre-K raised the most with 583.
Koshkonong Schools had 1600, Mrs. Wiggs’ class raised 400 total items.
Couch School finished with 1331, and the fourth grade had 311.
Finally, the Alton School District had 2,000 total items. Mrs. Snyder’s 5th grade had the most.
Between the closings due to COVID-19 and weather, some schools were unable to report until this week.
As for our corporate sponsors, which include Community 1st Banking Company in Thayer and West Plains, FNBC Community Bankers in Mammoth Spring and the Ozarks Healthcare Clinics on the Stateline, and the Mammoth Clinic collected a combined total of 2490 items.
This means we were able to raise 15,000 items to benefit the Shining Light Food Pantry in Mammoth Spring, and the Oregon County Food Pantry in Thayer.
