Man arrested for fleeing, endangering minors in Sharp County

A man was arrested in Sharp County after fleeing police with children inside his vehicle. 

Courts documents filed on Friday in the county show that a traffic stop was initiated on Jan. 3 on a white Ford Expedition for fictitious tags being displayed. 

The vehicle driver pulled into a local businesses parking lot in Ash Flat, then immediately pulled back onto Highway 62, heading west. 

Dispatch was notified of the situation, and other officers having dealt with the driver stated it was 36-year-old Christopher Rohrchelb. 

The officer involved in the chase was notified the driver of the vehicle had felony warrants in Arkansas. 

The pursuit went through three counties, beginning in Sharp County, traveling through Fulton County, then through Izard County, and the chase eventually ended in Sharp County. 

According to the affidavit filed, three children were inside the vehicle during the chase.

He faces charges for felony fleeing with danger of death and felony endangering the welfare of a minor. 

His bond was set at $5,000.
