Man arrested after hiding from police in top of closet in Douglas County

DOUGLAS COUNTY, MO (ECNN) – A wanted Gainesville, MO man was arrested by Douglas County authorities on Wednesday. 

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Corp. Nelson, Deputy Evans, and Deputy Dering went to a residence off Highway 14 for a warrant arrest on 28-year-old Curtis Gray of Gainesville. 

While at the residence, a female individual stated that Gray was not at the residence. 

Gray was located hiding in the top of a closet in the residence. 

He was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail on an outstanding Ozark County warrant. 

Gray also had three felony charges pending as well. 

The female individual now faces charges for felony aiding. 

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office says all suspects should be considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
