The Missouri House of Representatives recently passed a new congressional map that projects a six to two split favoring the Republican party.
A number of Missouri Senators from both parties are in favor of this map, but some conservative Republicans have halted the passing of the map, arguing for a map with a seven-to-one split.
Senator John Rizzo acknowledged that he would rather see a five to three map, but he believes the six to two map represents the Missouri electoral votes.
Sen. Dave Schatz added that the map is expected to be debated again Monday.
