Arrest made in Alton Harps Food Store burglary

The Oregon County Sheriff’s Office says a suspect has been arrested in connection to the robbery at Harps Food Store in Alton. 

On Tuesday, Fed. 1, a Howell County Sheriff’s Deputy performed a traffic stop on a vehicle that matched the description of a car the suspect was driving.

40-year-old Jeremy Lamance of Alton was detained and transported to the Howell County Sheriff’s Office pending further investigation. 

Overnight efforts by the Alton Police Department, West Plains Police Department, Howell County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oregon County Sheriff’s uncovered probable cause for Oregon County Judge Harvey Allen to issue a no bond warrant charging Lamance with 1st Degree  

Burglary and Stealing-firearm.
