MSHP responds to more than 2,500 calls for service during winter weather

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that they’ve responded to thousands of calls since the start of winter weather in the state on Wednesday.

According to the Highway Patrol, troopers responded to 2,679 calls for service, 1,578 stranded drivers, and 556 crashes.

The counting period started at midnight on Wednesday and continued through Thursday afternoon, around 2 pm.

As secondary roadways remain covered, Government officials still ask the public to stay at home.
