The Mammoth Spring City Council met on Monday afternoon at City Hall.
During the council meeting, it was announced that the Mammoth Spring Assitant Police Chief Jamie Turnbough would be taking over duties as Police Chief after retiring long-time Chief Michael Davis.
Chief Turnbough spoke to ECNN about the appointment.
Turnbough will take over duties as Police Chief effective immediately.
