Five people were injured after a crash in Shannon County on Friday afternoon.
Crash reports say a 2002 Dodge Ram driven by 64-year-old Kimberley Smeltzer of Birch Tree was traveling near US 60, two miles east of Mountain View, when the vehicle failed to yield to a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by 22-year-old Caleb Green.
Green suffered serious injuries after the crash and was taken by air ambulance to Springfield’s Cox South Medical Center.
Three other vehicle occupants, 23-year-old Sierra Green, a two-year-old juvenile, and a four-year-old juvenile, had minor injuries.
The driver of the Ram had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Mountain View.
