Two seriously injured in accident near South Fork

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning. 

According to crash reports, a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox driven by 57-year-old Larry Perce of West Plains, MO was traveling westbound on Highway 160 – three miles west of South Fork when it attempted to pass a 1999 Ford Expedition. 

The Expedition pulled into the path of vehicle one and was struck in the rear by the Equinox. 

Pierce and a female passenger, 55-year-old Sherry Pierce of West Plains, were seriously injured after the crash. 

The driver was taken by Air Evac to the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, while the passenger was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
