Pocahontas, AR man killed in Friday morning crash

On Friday, a Pocahontas, AR man was killed in an early morning Randolph County crash.

According to fatal crash summaries from the Arkansas State Police, a 2016 Chevrolet, driven by 30-year-old Tyler Chaffin of Pocahontas was traveling westbound on Highway 65, at the Eleven Point River Bridge, when the driver lost control on the bridge and crashed into a 1993 Ford driven by 29-year-old Nathan Johnston of Pocahontas.

Johnston was killed as a result of the accident.

Chaffin had injuries after the crash and was taken to the St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center for treatment.

Weather conditions were clear, and road conditions were icy at the time of the crash.
