An Ava, MO man was killed in an accident in Wright County on Thursday morning.
According to crash reports, a 2010 Chevrolet 1500 driven by 66-year-old Daniel Adkins of Ava, MO was traveling eastbound on US 60, one mile east of Mansfield, when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway into the median, went airborne, impacted a 2019 Peterbilt 579, traveled off the left side of the roadway, and crashed into a bluff.
Adkins was pronounced dead on the scene by the Wright County Coroner.
This is Troop G’s fifth fatality for 2022, compared to eight this time last year.
