Missouri House passes resolution requiring voters to bring ID to polls

The Missouri House of Representatives passed a resolution on Thursday that would require Missouri voters to provide a government-issued photo ID at the polls.

Representative Peter Meridethof St. Louis City voted against the piece of legislation.

He believes photo identification would decrease political participation.

If the Senate also passes the resolution, Missourians would vote on whether it should become an amendment to the state constitution.
