The Ozark National Scenic Riverways and National Park Service announced a prescribed burn would be taking place near Mill Mountain and Buzzard Mountain in Shannon County.
The fire will also be near Highway NN and will take place over 1,200 acres.
The fire is intended to reduce the number of fire fuels in the area, help restore native ecosystems, and improve wildlife habitats.
Those who plan to be around Highway NN or Klepzig Mill are to be aware of additional personnel or other wildlife due to the fire.
