The Izard County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of two men on drug charges.

Arrest records show Deputy Shawn Hellums came in contact with 44-year-old Chadwick Wallace and 38-year-old Ricky Glover during a traffic stop near Calico Rock.

Deputy Hellums observed the vehicle Wallace was driving to be crossing the center line multiple times.

During the traffic stop, Wallace was noted to be shaking and speaking rapidly.

Both occupants were discovered to be on probation with Arkansas Community Corrections with a search waiver on file.

Once the search was conducted on the vehicle, authorities found a metal box with magnet strips that was located on top of the muffler of the car.

The box contained a large plastic bag containing a large quantity of a white crystalline substance, two needles, and one set of digital scales.

Both occupants of the vehicle were then placed under arrest.

Glover told authorities before being transported to the Izard County Jail that he was concealing methamphetamine in his pants.

He handed the Deputy a baggie containing a small quantity of suspected methamphetamine.

At a later date, the white crystalline substance in the box, as well as the substance in Glover’s pants, tested positive for methamphetamine.

Both are charged with possession of a controlled substance with the felony purpose to deliver methamphetamine weighing more than ten grams, but less than 200, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine.

Bond was set at $50,000 for both individuals.
