The West Plains City Council held its monthly meeting on Monday.
At the meeting, the council approved new utility rates for residential customers and businesses.
As the four ordinances for the city were read for their final time, no one in the public spoke out for or against the raises.
The first passed ordinance will raise rates for electrical and was passed with the full support of the council.
City residents can view the utility rate increases at WestPlains.gov or visit City Hall for more information.
