North Arkansas Electric Cooperative members served by the Salem 2 Substation will experience an outage beginning around 11:30 p.m. Friday, April 1.
It should last approximately 45 minutes. NAEC personnel must connect a mobile substation transformer so that regular maintenance on the substation can be performed safely.
The 2,050 affected members should have received an automated call at the number NAEC has on file on Wednesday.
The affected areas include parts of Salem near the post office and toward Oxford on Arkansas Highway 9, as well as toward Glencoe and Sturkie.
Members may identify their substation by entering an account number at naeci.com/lookup or by calling 870-895-3221.
