Fulton County authorities arrested man on theft charges after stealing vehicle

An arrest in Fulton County left a man with theft charges.

According to a probable cause affidavit, 37-year-old Michael Seals had taken a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee from a victim without consent.
Seals drove the vehicle past the house where the victim lived, and when the victim called Seals, he stated the car could be found in a scrapyard between Harrisburg, AR, and Jackson, MS.

The vehicle was located at a residence in Pearl River County in Mississippi.
Seals was taken into custody by police in the county for a non-related warrant.

The vehicle was then released to a bond company per the victim’s request.
Authorities valued the vehicle at more than $1,000 but less than $5,000.

Seals was arrested on felony theft charges.

His bond was set at $5,000.
