The Ava Police Department reports the arrest of a man on drug charges.
According to a release, on March 30, 51-year-old Cecil Crossland of Ava, MO was arrested near the Ava Post Office on an active Douglas County felony warrant for possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
The original charges were made against Crossland in September of 2021.
His bond was set at $500.
