The City of West Plains officially cut the ribbon and introduced the largest municipally-owned Solar Array in Missouri.

The array, located just outside of city limits, is fully operational, and tests are being conducted to see how much relief it can offer to the electrical grid across the city.

Though officials don’t know how much of a decrease the array will offer to customers, Mayor Mike Topliff says it will partially supplement what power the city is currently purchasing.
