The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a woman on theft charges.
According to court documents filed on April 1, on February 25, Cherokee Village authorities were called to a residence on Lakeshore Trace, where a caller had just reported catching an intruder inside their residence.
Upon arrival, authorities located 46-year-old Michelle Tremain passed out.
The homeowner stated they had arrived home and found her on the floor.
They also stated they had never seen her before and wanted charges to be pressed against Tremain.
She appeared to be intoxicated on several different narcotics and could not form a coherent sentence.
Tremain was then transported to the Sharp County Detention Center.
She is charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft of property, less than or equal to $1,000.
Her bond was set at $15,000.
