The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a woman on drug charges.
According to court documents filed on Monday, on Jan. 22, authorities came in contact with 49-year-old Davanna Lowery, and she was later arrested for public intoxication.
Lowery was asked by authorities several times if she possessed anything illegal, and she stated she did not.
After Lowery was taken to the Sharp County Jail, and when she was searched, a pipe was located that was believed to be containing meth.
The jailer that was searching Lowery watched her stick something inside her mouth.
She then denied it but later admitted to sticking a pipe in her mouth.
Lowery is charged with felony furnishing, possessing, using, or delivering prohibited articles, felony possession of drug paraphernalia – methamphetamine, and misdemeanor public intoxication – drinking in public.
Her bond was set at $1,500.
