Law enforcement officers were highly opposed to a house bill in a committee hearing that would prohibit the use of automated traffic enforcement. The bill’s sponsor, Republican Representative Tony Lovasco, of O’Fallon, said the bill would restrict the amount of information that the local government retains on vehicles.
