Authorities locate drugs under truck hood, man faces multiple charges

A man was arrested by the Evening Shade Police Department in early April. 

A probable cause affidavit filed on April 20 shows on April 2, Officer Casey Poulette observed an orange Chevrolet Truck traveling on US 167 through Evening Shade near Highway 56, running bright lights while meeting traffic, along with having a busted windshield. 

Officer Poulette then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and came in contact with 37-year-old Sean Niswonger. 

The Officer noted he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. 

After searching the vehicle, authorities discovered a glass pipe with a crystalline substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine. 

There were also two baggies of marijuana located under the truck’s hood weighing nearly 60 grams. 

Niswonger is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance – meth, felony possession of a controlled substance, and felony possession of drug paraphernalia. 

His bond was set at $10,000.
