
A Summersville, MO man was arrested after an accident in Shannon County.
According to crash reports, a 2012 GMC Acadia, driven by 25-year-old Layton Roberts of Summersville, traveled northbound on Highway 17 when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment, became airborne, then landed.
Roberts had moderate injuries after the crash and was taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains.
He now faces multiple charges, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Arrest records say Roberts is charged with two felony counts of endangering the welfare of a child, driving while intoxicated resulting in a motor vehicle crash, driving while intoxicated with someone under the age of 17 inside the vehicle, careless and imprudent driving, no seat belt, and no insurance.
Roberts was released from custody for medical treatment.
