The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a body that was recovered from the Cold Springs Curve, Spring River access just east of Mammoth Spring.
Chief Deputy Jake Smith identified the victim as 45-year-old Larry Galloway from Greene County, AR.
Authorities have also connected a suspect in the case.
Chief Smith disclosed that the suspect was Rodney Trammell, Jr, who was killed in a police chase on Monday evening near Paragould.
Content partner KAIT said before the murder suspect crashed his vehicle, he led police on a high-speed chase through Green County.
The Jeep that Trammell was driving hit a pole and overturned, but that is not how the man died.
Trammell turned, looked at authorities, pulled a weapon, and shot himself.
The crash is still under investigation by the Arkansas State Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, and the Paragould Police Department.
BODY RECOVERY:
Authorities were called last Tuesday evening to the river access for reports of a submerged vehicle.
ECNN was the first media outlet to break the news:

When police arrived, they found a vehicle inside the water and believed a body was inside.
Recovery efforts began, and the vehicle was pulled out of the water late Tuesday evening.
The murder is still under investigation by the Arkansas State Police and Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
