A West Plains man was hit on Highway 63 in West Plains Monday afternoon.
According to crash reports, 84-year-old Edward Horton of West Plains attempted to cross Highway 63 at the Porter Wagoner merger and walked into the path of a 2000 Kenworth Tractor Trailer, driven by Jerald Schreiber of Columbus, NB.
Horton had serious injuries after being struck and was taken by Air Ambulance to the Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.
