NAEC members in Fulton, Sharp County experience 3-hour outage

North Arkansas Electric Cooperative members in Fulton and Sharp County may have been without power for a few hours on Wednesday afternoon.

The outage occurred when a regulator failed at the Salem 1 Substation, which serves members in the Salem, Moko, Camp, Fryatt, and Mammoth Spring areas.

Nearly 1,577 members in the area were affected by the outage.

The estimated time for restored power was around 8 pm Wednesday, but listeners reported the lights were back on by 6 pm.
