A crash in Carter County claimed the life of an Ellsinore, MO teen.
Crash reports say a 2007 Toyota Highlander, driven by a 16-year-old male juvenile of Ellsinore, was traveling northbound on County Road 325, six miles west of Ellsinore, when the vehicle lost control, ran off the roadway, and struck a tree.
The 16-year-old juvenile was killed in the accident.
A passenger in the vehicle, a 17-year-old female juvenile of Winona, MO was moderately injured. She was taken by ambulance to the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The crash report shows neither individual was wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
This is Troop G’s eighth fatality compared to 11 at this time last year.
